What has become of the ARA Best Study Award winner Stefan Jansen?

Excellent academic achievements not only impress on the certificate. ARA AG grants the Best Study Award to those ETIA students with the best academic performance over the two years of study.

One of them is Stefan Jansen, alumnus of the postgraduate program MSc Environmental Technology & International Affairs (ETIA) and winner of the ARA Best Study Award 2013: “In retrospect, winning the ARA Best Study Award offered a great opportunity to boost the CV. As an outstanding instrument to demonstrate commitment and determination, the award is highly appreciated by prospective employers.”

Career steps since the graduation

Stefan Jansen graduated from the ETIA Master of Science in 2013 as winner of the ARA Best Study Award. Prior to ETIA he studied International Business and Management in the Netherlands and holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration. In the light of the nuclear catastrophe in Fukushima in 2011, he pursued a career in the field of renewable energies and decided on deepening his knowledge in the segment of environmental technology with the two-year MSc Program.

Since graduating from ETIA he has worked in the German energy sector as a sub-project manager for a regional energy supplier in the pilot project “InnovationCity Ruhr”. Since 2016 he works for innogy SE, a leading European energy company, as a product manager for energy-efficient solutions in residential buildings with a focus on photovoltaic, battery storage systems, e-mobility and smart energy management.
